Symptoms of a Clogged Sewer Line

A clogged sewer line is something that makes consumers really appreciate their plumber.  Normally it is too late when they decide to call a plumber.  There are signs that let you know that your sewer is clogged before it gets to the point of no return.

Sounds of water in another fixture’s drain lets you know that your sewer is building up water.  That should be the point were you should call your plumber.  (Ex: If you are washing clothes and you hear water building up in the lines in your bathroom or sink, well you probably have some restriction in your line.)

When you flush your toilet and the water in the bowl doesn’t come back to it’s original spot, well you might have a problem with your sewer line.  Because the next time you flush it might fill up.

Have a clean out plug installed into your main sewer lien (if there is not one already in).  This can give your bathroom some relief by taking the top off until your plumber can get there to clean your line.

These are just a few ways you might be able to avoid the nightmares of a clogged sewer that may destroy the inside of your home.
